Ingredients


Makes: 4 servings
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) butter
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp (22.5 ml) all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 C (375 ml) milk, divided
  • 3 Tbsp (45 ml)
  • 1/3 C (80 ml) Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) Sea Salt (Grinder)

Preparation


 
  • Melt butter in a large microwaveable measuring cup. Add flour and mix.
  • Whisk in 3/4 C (180 ml) milk. Microwave on high for 1 minute, remove and whisk until smooth.
  • Whisk in remaining milk, Pesto Herbs, Parmesan cheese and Salt. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Remove from microwave and whisk until sauce thickens.

Tip: Serve as a pasta sauce or serve over cooked chicken breasts.
